Ask him get over that fear...Costing is not difficult at all..It becomes tough only when people dont go by concept...Ask him to understand the concept first...And for examination even if he not strong in practical...ask him prepare well in theory as he can easily pass with good thoeritical knowledge & solving 2 or 3 problems...
Let him refer costing book by Saravanaprasath...its really good..
