23 January 2012 Extracts of the circular dated 09.03.2011

For the payments of value above Rs. 50,000, stakeholders would have the option to either make the payment in electronic mode, or paper challan. However such payments would also be made in electronic mode w.e.f .1st October’2011

But can we interpret from the above circular that now it is mandatory to make payment online only??

24 January 2012 Yes,Because no other in supersession to this circular is issued uptil now.
