In GST regime is it mandatory to issue payment voucher if payment is made to supplier in course of purchase irrespective of advance,

03 February 2018 As per Section 31(3)(g), where a registered person is liable to pay tax under Reverse Charge then such person shall issue a payment voucher at the time of making payment to the supplier. Therefore, it is mandatory to issue payment voucher only when reverse charge is applicable. In any other case, payment voucher is not madatory

04 February 2018 Sir if we made the payment through cheque on account of unregistered even than whether we have to made the payment voucher for the same

04 February 2018 No, you will not be required to issue the payment voucher even if you are unregistered dealer and you are making the payment.

04 February 2018 Sir, i'm registered dealer let me explain my query with illustration :- assume I have purchased the goods from an unregistered dealer and for the I have made the payment thereof to unregistered dealer through cheque,

My want to know since I have made payment through cheque in course of unregistered purchase whether I need to made to payment voucher also even if payment was made through cheque,

Pls clarify.....
