Respected sir,
I have not filed return of income of A.Y.2011-12 yet. Consequently, i have received letter from department regarding to submit online compliance procedure and tax liability has arised in the same year.
Is it possible to submit compliance without filing of return??
whether it can be paid tax without filing of return??

Submitting compliance report is as equal to filing a Return.
If you have tax liability to be met, the you should be liable to file the return of income u/s 139(1). You should have filed your return by 31.03.2013.
