An employee joined a company on 01.05.2005. His age was 55 at the time of joinig. It is the polict of the Company to retire an employee on 58 years. The employee attained 58 years on 30.06.2008. The company asked him to cotinue and he contiued till 30.11.2010. Is the employee entitled for gratuity.

Yes, assuming he has continued service after attaning 58 years on 30.06.2008.

The employee will be eligible for gratuity on the basis of continuance service irrespective of the date of retirement.The employee will be eligible for Gratuity
