Partnership with a Non-Member

This query is : Resolved

26 December 2008 I am a BCom & i am not a member of the institute. I want to become a partner in a CA firm. I have heared that by fulfilling some conditions, a non member can enter in to partnership (some sort of affiliation) in a CA Firm. A friend CA is ready to take me as a Partner to assist him, on a profit sharing ratio, but we don't know the regulation of ICAI & the necessary forms in this regards.

Kindly Help.
Thankyou.

26 December 2008 As per CA regulations a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India in practice can take any non member as a partner.A member is not allowed to work on profit sharing basis with a non member.
