what is the process to surrender the PAN of a partnership firm to Income Tax Dept.

Please ensure that your all assessment has been completed before surrender of pan.

You can write a letter to the Assessing Officer the reasons for surrendering he PAN and you have to enclose the Original PAN with the Application. A copy of the said letter may kindly be sent to the respective commissioner and the PAN Card issuing authority which is printed on the back of the PAN.
