08 September 2013 one of my client lost his pan. but he remembers his pan number. need i apply for new one.. wat is the proceedure.. please explain

08 September 2013 No problem. You can get a replacement PAN card with same existing number.
If you have a xerox copy of your lost PAN card, it will be very helpful.

If the PAN card is lost, you need to file a police complaint, and attach the complaint copy with your new application, which is called CSF application (grievance application).

This can be either downloaded online or obtained from any of the UTI PAN service centres, across the country.

Please remember, the name, address, and other relevant details you provide now, should match with your earlier PAN card data.
If not, an affidavit or certificate to that effect should be obtained from any gazetted officer/Councilor/MLA etc.
If everything is accepted, you will receive your replacement PAN card by 15 days.

08 September 2013 you can lodge the FIR with the Pan detail accordingly...
