Pan is mandatory for cash settlement more than rs.25000

24 January 2012 Dear All,

In case of any HOTEL/RESTAURANT/RESORT a guest is settling through cash more than Rs. 25000, if PAN of the particular guest is mandatory ??

In this case can the accompanying guest (apart from main guest in whose name billing done/ in whose name the room registration done) furnish the PAN for settlement of cash more than Rs.25000

Please advice.

25 January 2012 Yes PAN quoting is compulsory while making payment to hotel/restaurent exceeding rs.25k at any one time.
It is meant for the Guest in whose name billing or registration is done.
However catch is at any one time so....
