29 July 2008 While applying for PAN, one has to give Area code, AO, Ward, Range etc. I have not been able to get the same for Delhi for my daughter-in-law who is a housewife. For investment, she requires a PAN.

29 July 2008 Hi,

All you have to do is to fil up Form 49A to the extent possible. You dont have to mention area code, AO code & range etc. These details will be decided by the AO himself.

So dont worry & submit ur form 49A with the intermediary (NSDL or Karvi or UTI).

29 July 2008 you need not worry.Please go to the nearest PAN providing centre and they will help you out of it.

29 July 2008 You have to fill the 49A form and submit the nearest TIN facilitation centre to get the PAN. No need to worry about Area Code and other details.
