05 October 2011 Many of my clients are from village area, they have applied for their PAN Card. PAN Card were generated in time by the auhtority. they have dispatched through Appointed courier Agency. The courier have no branch in our city and our Taluka. in that case this agency is not trying to deliver the pan card to applicants. and all the Prepared PAN were returned to authority.
Due to this applicants can't get their PAN in time. What should be done in this case by the concerned authority ? Why should the applicant suffer due to lack of infrastructure with PAN Delivering Agency ?

06 October 2011 PAN cards are sent through courier by the issuing authority at the first instance. If the recipients are in village or remote area the PAN card is returned undelivered and then again sent by the issuing authority through ordinary post. Ordinary post reaches every nook and corner of the country provided the address mentioned is right. Check your PAN card status online and ask your clients to keep track of their posts and if possible, ask the postman to deliver it as soon as it is received by him. Normally in villages, everyone know who is their postman so they should ask him to deliver it. Re-check your PAN status online, if it is returned undelivered, it will again be dispatched through ordinary post.

08 October 2011 Thank you, I am also aware regarding procedure of PAN issuing authority. But my query is regarding time spent by the courier agency. we have to ask the state level courier office and in reply they sent us through another courier. we shall keep our eye open until the PAN delivered in the hands of applicant.
The PAN issuing authority is not delivering the PAN properly. they should ensure that PAN should be delivered within 5-7 days of preparation and they should take feedback from courier.
in current situ. the PAN first given to Courier and then returned back and then again sent through SPEED Post, it involves double charges and much time. The authority should ensure that applicant from village area's PAN should be delivered by Speed Post in the first instance.
