Pan address in income tax department

23 July 2013 Dear Experts pls help me out in following problem.
There is one facility on income tax efiling website under 'update contact details' to change the address. Whether changing/updating this address will amount to change of address in PAN data or client has to fill PAN change application separately.

23 July 2013 If address is changed permenantly then its advisable to file seperate application for change in address in pan.

24 July 2013 you need to submit application for PAN correction.

updating details in efiling website will not change details as per pan data base
