OTP Not Received — PT Registration Pending

17 October 2025 Dear Members
We are trying to register our profile for Profession Tax (PTEC / PT registration). As part of the first step in the registration process, a link is sent to our email, on which we click and provide our mobile number to receive an OTP. However, we are not receiving the OTP. Instead, the system returns the error:
“Please clear the browser cache and try again after sometime.”
This issue has persisted for a considerable time. We have already:
1. Cleared browser cache, cookies
2. Updated all software on our PC
3. Tried multiple browsers / incognito mode
Yet, the error still appears, and the OTP is never sent. Because of this, our PT registration has been stuck for over a month now.

17 October 2025 This is a known portal issue, not a problem with your browser or device, and the most effective current way forward is escalation through in-person visits to the Profession Tax office until the portal receives a backend fix.

Gather documentation of your attempts, including screenshots of the error and a log of times/dates when you tried.

Visit your nearest Profession Tax department office and present your case. Officers may be able to escalate or offer manual registration or workaround.
