Hello Friends,
I want to open a DMAT account to purchase couple of shares and securities.
Kindly let me know the procedure to open an account (in detail). Please also mention where do i get my account open i.e., agencies providing this service and which is better in terms of their services.

You have to approch any authorised brokers. a lot of agenies are there, like Bonanza portfolio, ICICI, Indiainfoline etc. you may select any one of them depending upon the service you wanted, ie Online or Offline, brokerage, annual charges etc.

There are many brokers and DP where u can open the account , u can settle on any one of them ... first thing is u need is PAN card and then u need to get the AOF form from the respective DP
