I have filed with a REFUND in return in a.y 2011-12 of my client. but the IT department has processed it as NIL return. till nw i dint get any intimation u/s 143... how do i apply to it. Plz show me the procedure ASAP.... thanks!!!

18 May 2012 first thing you have to do is write a letter to AO for not receiving refund till today and wait for their response

second thing always check 26AS statement before filing returns in case of tds deduction on which you are claiming refund if deductor didn't file tds return or wrongly file return then also you cannot claim refund

last thing, efile you return it will help you to know refund status/ assessment and many more things which is really low you tense and burden of assessee for not receiving refund
