17 October 2011 Dear all
I had paid excise duty for the month of sep-11 by online but there is mistake in selection of sub head. wrongly basic excise duty goes to Secondry & H educ cess. education cess & SHCess goes to primary education cess .my assessing office told that y have to paid basic excise duty diffrencital amount again. and give me notice for short payment .kindly advice.

21 October 2011 For payment of Excise duty/ E Cess/ Sec: Higher Sec: Cess in wrong head, no need to pay diferential duty. Since there is no financial loss to Revenue, intimation letter to be sent to jurisdictional excise authority as well to Accounts officer explaining what is done & ought to be done. Intimation letter to be got acknowledged.
