Please tell me if a company has changed its name then for how many numbers of years a company is required to show its old name in financial statement and elsewhere? please tell me which provision or rules are applicable for the same query.

02 July 2011 There are no rules as such however u should show the old name for one year in the annual report.

03 July 2011 There is no rule restricting the use of new name in financial statements of company.After the Completion of Procedure for Change of name under section 21 of Companies act 1956 and after receiving Approval from Roc you can use new name in your financial statements.
