sir, one of my friend is nri and living at saudi . He had invested in mutual fund and redemption has been recieved by him . Tax has been deducted of Rs. near 2 lacs. My question is this either refund can claim or not.

He can file a ROI in India and claim eligible refund, based on slab rates of taxes.
