NPS deductions

This query is : Resolved

Quick Summary
If your employer doesn't currently deduct National Pension System (NPS) contributions, you can still open an individual NPS account. However, tax benefits for these contributions are generally only available under the old tax regime. For the new tax regime, your employer needs to deduct the NPS contribution directly from your salary under Section 80CCD(2) of the Income Tax Act to be eligible for tax benefits.
