19 September 2016 a client whose regular assessment for the A.Y.
2015-16 came with a tax payable of 6330.00 although there is no income
reflected on the form 26 as still the IT dept shown a difference the
states are as follows:-
Income shown by assesse- 310134.00 and as per IT dept it is 370882.00
can u guide me how to find the difference between these 2 and what to
do in this case.

19 September 2016 Dear Avinash, Kindly check if during preparation of the return any deduction was treated separately which has been considered double. If as u say no income is reflected in 26AS, it must be an error made while preparing the return. If no change is required as per your understanding, then while filling rectification choose option, "no change kindly reprocess the case".

19 September 2016 respected sir i got the in the case i mentioned he had wrongly entered the interest figure which was dis allowed by the income tax department although i was to be considered so how can i rectify it whether have to a revised return or just have to make a rectification request there it shows to update only that specified schedule but i have the whole .xml so what to do further interest under 234A has been increased so how to deal with the same
