25 December 2010 Dear Sirs ,

i have received notice u/s 143(1) via e-mail for AY 2010 - 11 according to which , Total Demand from the Department is 0 . what am i suppose to do and why this notice has been sent to me when the demand is 0 ? and for my father , the notice says demand is Rs.15000/- the income tax people have not considered interest on H/p under the source H/p which was set off against salary income as per from 16A. how should i intimate the same to the Department ?

25 December 2010 you can file rectification application under section 154 of the Income Tax ACT,1961 IN case of your father demand notice.
