25 July 2014 hello,

i have received a notice of short payment from TDS from traces. which i have filed corrected return but it shows amount consumed to the extend available is less remaining amount & the interest amount charged by traces. what can i do i cant understood the exact problem

challan amt 21414.00 dated 03.06.14
tds deducted 21414.00 on may 2014
& return dated 15.07.14
as per traces amt consumed is 12011.00
short payment is 9403.00

25 July 2014 but exactly how much payment is done?

25 July 2014 Rs. 21414.00 is paid by challan n same by return also

25 July 2014 so in such case the database at traces is not updated and ur correction statment is not recorded by their system so better file another correction statement or talk to ur jurisidictional ao in this regard.
