RETURN OF INCOME FOR A Y 13-14 WAS FILED ON 03-08-2013.
A NOTICE U/S 143(2) THROUGH EMAIL WAS RECD FROM INCOME TAX OFFICER ON 19.09.14.
IN THE NOTICE DATE OF HEARING WAS MENTIONED AS 16.09.14.
I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHETHER THIS NOTICE IS VALID UNDER INCOME TAX ACT ?

Yes the Notice is Valid as It is received before the time barring date i.e 30th Sep 2014.
However the date is invalid which may be a typographic error. You must file a letter asking for a new date for hearing mentioning the above facts.

Whether notice delivered to post office before 30th Sept. but received by assessee after 30 th sept. will be valid and legal?
