Non-filing of return (ay-11-12)

18 October 2013 A letter has been come from IT deptt.requesting to produce the ack. of ITR (AY11-12).But i didn't submit ITR for that yr.For that yr i had made bank transaction near about 10 lakhs. What will be my reply with this notice ?
I run and maintain a study centre.
ITO has warned me for non-compliance to this notice appropriate action will be taken.

18 October 2013 In this case the time limit to file belated return u/s 139(4) has also expired by 31.3.2013 so now u need to meet him and explain him the reason why u didnt file return.

18 October 2013 If you have already file your returns for 11-12 and not submitted ITR-V you can submit the same and you have the time till the end of this october

however as department insisted you to file return,,just approach him and ask him what to do

better to approach a tax consultant for all this procedure,,you need to provide the reason for not filing return and also need to submit the proofs about 10 lakhs transaction and also need to pay tax if any required

better if you hire a consultant to study you case,and he will take care of procedure to be followed
