non addition of EC/SHEC in exam

while calculating import duty, if we calculated the duty and interest with all adjustments correctly, and just forgot to add EC/SHEC then will the whole answer be striked out? please help

Step-wise markings shall be given and don't be apprehensive thinking your entire answer would be struck down. To the extent you have written the answer correctly, you will be awarded marks accordingly.

but the answer was about calculating duty and interest upon removal from warehouse. i correctly grasped the concept which was tested...it was a PM based question. i am worried becoz the main answer was to calculate duty and intt. Both the figures are wrong just becoz of non addition of EC SHEC

Examiner checks for your conceptual understanding and if you have erred in your initial step itself then it would be difficult second guess as to how the examiner treats it. I understand each mark counts in CA Examination and hope the benefit of doubt for remainder of the answer is considered and given appropriate marks.
