Noc from ministry of environment and forest for used camera

16 July 2012 Hi all, i have brought One Sony Camera and HTC Mobile phone from UK and it stuck in the Delhi Customs through TNT Courier. After providing fair penalty letter and authorisation letter, customs are asking for NOC from Ministry of Environment and Forest for clearance of my ship. Please help me out how i can approach? i am staying in Hyderabad, i am unable to find a way, regarding this please any one help me in this. if any one have customs clearance agent then contact me or please give me guidelines for getting this NOC letter.

17 July 2012 Hi Burhanuddin,

You can get your shipment from the custom authorities after paying the penalty. The approval of Ministry of Environment and Forest is required only for the goods which are hazardous to the environment.

They are simply harassing you if they are asking for approval.

17 July 2012 Thank you Sir, but courier people asking me for NOC from Ministry of Environment and Forest, and this customs jurisdiction is Delhi, my native place is Hyderabad, too far from my place. any person helped me in this matter at Delhi. i ready for paying clearance charges to them. hope an early reply from any one
