No confirmation mail from IT guys for receipt of ITR-V

27 August 2010 How much time does it take to receive e-mail from the IT Dept., Bangalore confirming receipt of ITR-V? I had sent ITR-V of my friend 3 weeks ago, but still I havn't received any mail yet. Shall I send the ITR-V again? Plz guide..

27 August 2010 It generally takes 3 - 4 weeks. U can also login to your account and see the efiling status of your return.

27 August 2010 AGREED, SOMETIMES, IT TAKES TIMES 1 MONTHS ALSO.

OBVIOUSLY U CAN CHECK IT BY LOGIN ON SITE.
IF THERE IS ALSO PENDING STATUS, THEN YOU HAVE TO SENT AGAIN ITR - V . IT IS BETTER TO SENT IT BY SPEED POST BECAUSE YOU CAN CHECK SPEED POST STATUS BY POST OFFICE SITE.

27 August 2010 presently Banglore CPC processing only 20000 returns only per day so it will take atleast 4 weeks from the date of form sent
