An NGO can be formed by registering a trust under the charitable trusts act,1957 for the benefit of a group at large by registering the trust deed with the regional registrar of trusts....or you can register yourself as a society with charitable objects under the societies registration Act,1860.
And the trust can come into picture/existence soon as the trust deed is registered by paying the required fees and compliances to the satisfaction of the registrar.
society can be registered by paying the respective fee to the registrar of the Society along with the Memorandum of Association and bye-laws stating the rules and regulation of the Society as prescribed under the Act.
