I want to know whether CA/CS/CWA will be eligible to appear before NCLT/NCLAT when it comes into function as it will have power similar to HC/CLB in corporate matters where these professionals are not allowed to appear before.

Apart from their routine functions and responsibilities, Chartered Accountants and Company Secretaries do present the case one behalf of the Company before the forums like Company Law Board and the proposed National Company Law Tribunal.

07 February 2012 Sir, does it mean that cs/ca can deal itself with the matter of winding up, corporate restructuring etc where earlier they have to hire an advocate to appear before court?

10 February 2012 Definitely. It also means that we should do Law (LLB) so that we can acquire pleading technique otherwise all this work will be taken over by advocates.
