I saw the Auditors or Consultants firm names are different.
For example., XYZ & Co., ABC Associates,
What is the difference between Associates and Co...?
Why some names are XXX Associates and Some names are XXX & Co...?
Any law point here...?

07 January 2017 A firm with name XYZ & co. Indicates that the firm is a partnership firm where the partners jointly carry on their professional engagement from same place of business and sign on behalf of the firm.

Whereas, when the name is ABC & Associates, it indicates that different professionals and practioners draw business from the market in the name of ABC & Associates but engage in the project in their individual name and sign in an individual capacity & may have different place of work than ABC. It is like a cartel of smaller firms to compete with the bigger partnership firms.

I doing my consulting works individually as name of 'P M RAJA AND CO'...
This name bring any legal issue on future...?

Actually I start the name of 'Sree Parimaless Associates' on 2008-09.
But,
Now I registered 'P M Raja and Co' in Udyog Aadhaar on 2016...
So, I Ask it. Any problems in future...
