Plz tell me about the various schemes of MF such as what is open-ended scheme, close-ended scheme, equity-oriented or debt-oriented scheme. Also tell me about SIPs and ULIPs etc. in a simple language, plz don't go by act or law language.

Open ended scheme means a scheme in which u can enter any time or withdrawn any time and there is no bondation to deposit ur money for fix time.
Equity oriented scheme means when the MF co. invest ur money mainly equity type securities like equity shares.
Debt oriented scheme means in which MF co. invest ur money maily in debt like debenture.

Open Ended scheme MF- These are MF which can be bought and sold on any particular day.
Close Ended Scheme MF- These MF have defined period for which you can not buy or sell the MF. After this period it becomes open ended i.e. ready to buy and sell.
Equity Oriented MF - These MF invest primarily in Equity Markets.
Debt MF- These MF invests only in Debt Instruments like Govt Securities/ Co. Fixed Deposits.
Close Ended Scheme MF- These MF have defined period for which you can not buy or sell the MF. After this period it becomes open ended i.e. ready to buy and sell.
