12 November 2008 Dear Sir,

I want to know that, is it permissible to affix the individual stickers (Labels)on the package for the making declaration required under the rule 6 of The Standards of Weight and Measures (PC) Rules, 1977

As per my understanding the individual stickers are allowed for the declaration of the revised lower MRP only, and not for the declaration of the MRP.

13 November 2008 You can make individual stickers for MRP. I do not know with reference to what subrule you get that implression.

13 November 2008 I request you to go through them too. These rules merely talk about action in the case of revision of MRP where the new sticker should not tamper with the exhibition of old MRP. These rules do not over-ride subsection (1). From your question I am not able to make out what is your problem.
