Please clarification that the spares part of Motor of vehicle is whether eligible or not ITC under GST

11 October 2017 The motor vehicles all parts and service related GST tax can be avail the benefits... But, Condition is very simple. The vehicle is used by Business.... Otherwise can't get available....

Vehicles is used as part and parcel of business only ...this vehicles is used for the purpose of travel by company employees..

11 October 2017 In that case itc shall not be available ITC in relation to motor vehicles is only available in specified cases and they are.; 1. If motor vehicles are used for transportation of goods or; 2. They are used in making further taxable supply

12 October 2017 In case such transportation of employees (from office to residence) is compulsory under any Govt Rule (for example it is in BPO industry) then you can avail ITC.

12 October 2017 @ CA Ajay Kumar , sir it is applicable only for rent-a-cab, life insurance and health insurance supplies and not for inward supply in relation to motor vehicles.
Please correct me if i am wrong

12 October 2017 Yes you are right. But what if the company uses its own vehicle under such compulsion, then why we are not eligible if we can get ITC on hired vehicle. It is a matter or interpretation & satisfying the department.
