More preference to b.com degree or 1yr. Of ca final

12 April 2011 Only 18 days in hand . Pls. Help me out . . I am in a big dilemma to decide abt my future . . . .PlS. . Pls. . Help me . .

I hv my 1yr. Left to complete my b.com which iS in bihar .
but i am also eligible to start my articleship for which i hv to register before 30 april 2011 .

so finally i hv two option .
Extend ca final exm for 1yr. and complete b.com Or to leave that b.com and continue with articleshp right now . .

13 April 2011 It is not big deal as such, you can do both the things simultaneously. As u can continue with your last year of b com n can work with your articles, only thing you should ensure that is, your articled principal will allow you leave for your B Com exam, which is again not a issue. Because even if you take 1.5 months leave for ur B com, n your employer is not happy with that, you can opt for articles extension after 3.5 years of articleship.
so for such a small period of time you need not to waste your one year and your exam. there are 99% students go for this option which is very perfect.

However in case you are doing B.Com regular , then this is not possible. Please take note of this.

13 April 2011 yes, but i am doing b.com(hons.) not correspondence/pass course.

class attendence is not a big issue there in my college .

but as to fill up in form 112 i cant do so as it regular class college legally.

i will complete my b.com the way you said but
then i can't be able to show my b.com degree ever along with with ca in my resume.

ICAI will say:: in session 2011-2012 u was doing articleship 1st year and at the same time u were attending b.com 3rd year in your college in bihar. how is this possible.

i knw that class attendence is not required there but on paper the principal of my college will never agree..............

13 April 2011 Yes you are right. In my opinion, you can also do one thing, take admission in B.com 3rd year through correspondence and join articleship. This way you can complete graduation and also your articleship will continue. Otherwise, if this is not possible , then in my personal opinion, complete your graduation, because in some cases in future, graduation is must and thenn you can start your articleship and do ur CA.

13 April 2011 I don't know abt Bihar Education strucutre. But you can check IGNOU site , there it may be possible that u can take admission in 3rd year B.com based on your passing certifcate of 1st two years.

Ignou provides B.com from correspondence.

13 April 2011 In case, you don't show, even then it will remain wrong. Hiding will not make it right. You will always remain in fear in future of being caught. So my suggestion is not to fo such thing.

Also, affecting ur package, career etc is all depends on destiny, but naytime you caught, it may be aproblem. So my suggestion , not to do like this.

I completely agree with Rahul.
he already suggested a good option of doing 3rd year thrgh correspondance.
now still by thinking so deeply, I think you are just wasting your time.
I am having my friends who had done same thing like they completed 3rd year thrgh correspondance from Mumbai University and go very well with both the courses.
and one thing i try to erase is that, though B Com degree becomes minor before CA, still it has some value, as it is the basic degree in your educational area, where as CA will be your Professional Degree.
So not to dilute value of B Com

13 April 2011 In my opinion you continue your B.com final year and then venture for article ship so that you will be graduate. And only will miss for 6 months at most in CA course not much difference. As far as going to correspondence in graduation is not good idea as this is ur first degree.
