Dear sir,
I have a partnership Firm, paying service tax under category of Goods Transport agency (GTA). Can we take Modvat on Excise of of the amount deposited in service tax.
I have a partnership Firm, paying service tax under category of Goods Transport agency (GTA). Can we take Modvat on Excise of of the amount deposited in service tax.

for your inward transportation, you can take input credit, provided you are not availing exemption of excise or service tax. for outward, its not possible and available on certain conditions only.
