Mistake while filing return

05 December 2013 dear sir i hv filed income tax return of a person of ay 2013-14 while making computation i hv wrongly entered a newly purchased assest in opening balance instead of showing it in purchase during the year because of this dep. is also wrong i hv filed return in july but not yet recd. any notice plz tell what can i do n what could be the consequences of it is there is any serious mistake in it?

05 December 2013 Incase if it is filed with in due date, you can revise the return and correct the mistake, otherwise you cannot revise, need to wait the notice from the department to give the rectification
