MISTAKE IN E-PAYMENT

I was about to pay Self assessment tax for the Ass. Year : 2010-11 but by mistake clicked Ass. Year.2011-12 and the challan was generated as Advance tax for Ass. Year 2011-12. What should i do ?

If possible pay again for the self assessment tax & treat the currently paid amount as advance tax for AY 2011-12.

write a letter to Your Ward /Circle officer for rectification and claim to this payment as A.Y.2010-2011
