30 March 2012 when there is a refund while calculating tax then IS it important to fill MICR code or we just fill account number or both?

30 March 2012 Only Bank Account number is sufficient.

30 March 2012 MICR Code is necessary when you want the refund to be directly deposited into your bank account.
If you do not provide the MICR code then you will receive the Refund order by post and you will have to deposit it into the bank account

30 March 2012 It is better to provide MICR code and avail ECS facility so Refund will get directly deposited into bank account.
