mfg with trading for excise purpose

A unit manufacturing plastic dana having turnover less than 1.20 crore wants to trade also in plastic dana which will increase its turnover for more than 1.50 crore. It wants to have opinion for doing so and short procedure.

There are instances where the dealer who is doing manufacturing as well as trading in the same goods and showing the sales seperately for mfg and trading so as the sale under mfg goods does not exceed 1.50 cr and as such excise registration not required. Is it possible ?

As per my opnion, A manufacturer can do the Trading Activities of product/s other than the product/s manufactured by him.
However, in your case you wants to TRADE the same product. Therefore, It will be advisable to do it at a seperate place with seperate (Dealers) Excise Registration.
