I have mention in excise 1st quarter (April-June) return nature of purchase is wrong.I have mention nature of purchase is importer but right is manufacturer,now i want change or fill up revise return,what is process or penalty or last date of revise excise return date.Please give me answer.

04 October 2012 take a print copy of return, pen out the correction and submit the same to range superintendent, under a covering letter requesting correction, and get a dated acknowledgement,

R/O will check the facts and will send the same to IT section for rectification,

be sure that your issued invoices have mentioned details as local and not of imported as source.

04 October 2012 as the case belong to current year, i dont think department will go for any penalty, as it might be clarical mistake,

and as the dealer has no right to touch the cenvat part, he is just an agent to pas on the duties, so minimum harssment to your part is expected.

04 October 2012 do it as soon as possible, coz if department notice the same it may go against you, but correction can be done anytime during the finance year, quicker is the better.
