16 February 2013 If the expenditure is related to employees you can transfer the same to employees welfare a/c or in case if it is for general one then transfer to miscellaneous account (provided proper narration is given and the amount is not material.)

16 February 2013 Generally medicines are purchased for the staff member of an organisation. So, these will be accounted under the Head "Staff or Employees Welfare Account.

YOu can also account the same under Administrative expense or office expense or general expense with clear narration, if it is general in nature.

Accounting of medicine depends upon general and specific basis
