14 March 2013 dear sir,
one of our empolyee in our company has medical allowance of Rs.17500/--
he has claimed Rs.7500 balance avaible Rs.10000/--
during visit to site in tamil nadu he had undergone medical treatment while in the site
he goted the expenese of Rs.17500/--
now magmt had taken the decision that balance avaible in medical allowane will deducted from his account balance will paid by company account.
1)Rs.2500/- taken in income tax or Rs.10000/--
as medical limit is Rs.15000/--

15 March 2013 one of our employee goted manner heart attack during working in the site and he inccured the medical expenses of Rs.17500/--

company give medical allowance of Rs.17500/--
in every year depend upon the grade.

now the empolyee had already claimed Rs.7500/-- balance available is Rs.10000/--

magmt had taken the decision that balance avaible in medical allowane will deducted from his account i.e Rs.10000/--
balnce Rs.7500/-- from company account.

now qusetion is how much amount should be consider in his income tax/ taxable ?

as maxium limit is Rs.15000/-- above is taxable.

17 March 2013 As you said that employee got hear attack during working and employer borne the expense, I think nothing is taxable in the hands of employee as Employer has just discharge his liability in this case.
