I GOT MEDICAL ALLOWANCE-36000.00
I PAID MY MEDICAL BILL FOR RS.25000.00 + RS.25000 FOR MY FATHER

HOW MUCH AMOUNT IS DUDUCTIBLE

29 March 2012 Fix medical allowance is always taxable and hence in your case nothing is deductible form your salary income.

However you can arrange with your employer to give Rs.36000 against your submission of medical bill instead of medical allowance.In which case Rs.15000 is deductible if medical treatment is availed in private clinic.
