29 November 2010 I want to know whether one can avail exemption of Rs.15000 PA towards Medical Expenses, if the company is paying him a fixed monthly Medical Allowance @Rs.10000 PM, as a part of Salary.Thanx in advance.

30 November 2010 If any employee received fixed medical allowance, which will fully taxable, but, if employee receives medical reimbursement after submitting medical bills, than exemption Rs.15,000/- amount limit will be applicable.

In view of above, Rs.10000/- medical allowance fully taxable.
