What is the meaning of statutory company??

Dear friend,
Statutory company is an entity created by a statute, while a company is an entity that is governed by the provisions of a statute. i.e., “corporation established by or under a Central, Provincial, State Act or a Government Company as defined in s. 617 of the Companies Act, 1956”.
