if there is no interest of the director in any entity he is required to file mbp-1 with roc and format of mbp-1 in such a case.

As per Section 184 of the Companies Act, 2013, and Rule 8 and 9 of the Companies (Meetings of Board & its Powers) Rules, 2014, every director shall at the first meeting of the Board of every year, has to give disclosure of his interest/concern in form MBP 1.
Further as per Section 117 of Companies Act, 2013, Company needs to file the Board Resolution noting such disclosure in e-Form no. MGT-14 within 30 days from the date of Board Meeting in which such disclosure is made.
Even in case of nil interest, director must disclose Interest in MBP-1. Company must file MGT 14 within 30 days as mentioned above
