is mca or ROC charges any fees for updation of master data of companies . i heard that some fee we need to pay from 1st april 2009

Yes. Because ROC has given enough time to change the master data without any charges ie from mca website launch date apx. june 07 to march 2009 which is 2 years.
From now onwards for data correction the fees should be paid.

how can one know the amount of fee is it different on case to case basis

You have to log on to mca website by giving your company cin no and authorised capital you can get the fee details. Fees depends on Authorised capital of the company.
