Mandatory to maintaine excise record

11 December 2008 Sir, I wants to know minimum excise records which are to be maintained for who is paying excise duty 1 core (CENVAT + PLA). RG 23 A Part I and II is required to maintained? Is it mandatory. If possible pl give a reply with ref. means notification no., circular, it will helpful to convince to local authority.
