27 December 2012 Dear Sir,

I went on leave during the f.y. 11-12 but have not claimed LTA. Now during the cy 12-13 I recd the LTA and submitted the bills of last year. Can I get the LTA exemption during the C.Y. 12-13 with the bill of last year.

I dont think that u can claim LTA bills relating to one financial year in succeeding year.

LTA cannot be claimed for previous years.

Since bills are bearing previous FY dates, same is disallowed on the basis of prior period item.

27 December 2012 but u can carry forward the LTA exemption which u have not claimed in the block year 2010-2013 to next block ie., 2014-2017.

27 December 2012 And you can claim LTA 3 times against 2 times allowed ..
