One of our colleagues has lost his Income Tax File.
There is a procedure to get the copies of returns and other documents from the Income Tax Department.
I want to know the procedure alongwith the relevant provisions of the Income Tax Act, 1961.

contact your respective ward/Circle, where you filed your return with your Pan number, there no specific procedure but there is chance of getting your it copy filed.
